Brand new, factory matched OCTET (8) Genalex KT-88/6550. The Genalex KT-88 is considered by many to be the finest of all Kt-88s made today. Finding these tubes at a reasonable price is next to impossible, and this is a way to get an excellent value on these wonderful tubes, especially if you need current matched tubes for your amplifier.

These are factory tested at real world operating voltages and matched for current and transconductance. You will not be disappointed in the performance of these tubes. Note that the factory does not produce octets, but based on matching across a huge number of quads, we put together exact or very close quads to make up an octet.

They are burned in for 24 hours and then platinum matched by the factory at 400V plate, 225V screen and -19.1V bias. Insist on factory platinum matched tubes for best performance.

In 1957 Marconi-Osram Valve Co. (Genalex) introduced the “King of Power Tubes”, the legendary Gold Lion KT88. This tube became the heart and soul of such classics as the Dynaco Mark III, McIntosh MC275, and Marshall Major. Unfortunately, Genalex ceased tube production in the early 1980s and the Genalex Gold Lion KT88 has become very expensive and hard to find.

After extensive research and engineering, New Sensor Corp. has reissued the famed Genalex Gold Lion KT88. This tube has been recreated down to the finest detail with gold plated grid wire, carbonized screen grids, and a tri-alloy clad plate structure for exceptional performance and sound quality.
